In the ongoing buildup to whatever end game does come, I would suggest listening, or reading Berlin Diary by William L. Shirer. 

In the early days of World War II, Shirer was working for CBS as a broadcast journalist. The parallels in action, and information provided by the Germans, between the Nazis and the Communist Chinese is a good case study in how to read enemy press releases.

In the middle of April 2024, there was dialog, instigated by China, between the current Philippine Administration, and the previous administration over a New Model and Gentleman's Agreement over the disposition of Philippines EEZ and the West Philippine Sea. 





It the current version of the Chinese story, the New Model Gentleman's Agreement was reached by this Administration's Executive Navel Officers and the Chinese. The Chinese say that the Philippines is violating a standing agreement. Mind you, this is the standing agreement which is illegal. 

I this point we can make no firm predictions on what course this is going to take. We do know what the people on the West Philippine Sea Coast line want. We are highly confident that China is attempting to instigate a regional war in the South China Sea. 

We cannot say, however, we have a clear indication on what the current Philippines' Government will do. It does look like they are preparing for War. That is as it should be. 





As shown in the Chinese military losses from 1979 at the hands of Vietnam, and in 2021 at the hands of India. The best resolution is to use Navel force to free the West Philippine Sea. Diplomacy based on lies is a failure. 


We will watch this development.
