The Marcos Jr. administration has been demonstrating a commitment to securing the West Philippine Sea based on international law and exercising Manila’s sovereignty and sovereign rights over the maritime domain, at a time when China has been expanding its clout in the greater South China Sea.

In spite of what Bill Gates said in the early to mid 1990s, Let's leverage existing solutions and build upon them. We can begin with the article by Don McLain Gill cited above.

Filipino Defense Secretary Gibo Teodoro "slams China Coast Guard regulation as ‘provocation.’" This provocation remains the Chinese modus operandi for the past 75 years. It has only failed when confronted with force, at which point the Chinese pull a “Sour Grapes” move, walking away and blaming all others for their provocations. Their approach causes a rational person to ask how much longer will the world tolerate bloodshed in the name of this nihilistic philosophical feces. However, is the Philippine government ready to sink Chinese ships?
