Proposal for The Stealth Runner: A Strategic Solution to Address Tensions in the West Philippine Sea
Baybay City, Leyte, Philippines -- 23 May 2024 -- In response to the ongoing territorial disputes and tensions in the West Philippine Sea, we are proud to introduce the Stealth Runner Proposal. The Stealth Runner is a strategic initiative aimed at fostering dialogue, promoting cooperation, and ensuring the safety and security of all stakeholders in the region.
The West Philippine Sea is currently embroiled in complex territorial disputes involving multiple countries, including the Philippines, China, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Taiwan. These disputes pose significant challenges to the region's stability and have direct impacts on the livelihoods of Filipino Fisherfolk who rely on these waters for their sustenance.
The Stealth Runner Proposal seeks to address these challenges by advocating for peaceful dialogue, adherence to international agreements, and the pursuit of mutually acceptable solutions to the disputes. By promoting cooperation, respect for sovereignty, and adherence to established norms of behavior, the Stealth Runner aims to maintain stability and promote peaceful coexistence among neighboring countries in the West Philippine Sea.
One of the key focuses of the Stealth Runner Proposal is the protection and support of Filipino Fisherfolk who are directly affected by the territorial disputes in the region. The presence of foreign vessels, restrictions on fishing activities, and the risk of maritime incidents have all contributed to the challenges faced by Filipino Fisherfolk. Through the Stealth Runner initiative, we aim to enhance the safety and security of Filipino Fisherfolk and ensure their continued access to the resources they depend on for their livelihoods.
As we move forward with the implementation of the Stealth Runner Proposal, we call on all stakeholders in the region to support our efforts and join us in promoting peace, cooperation, and stability in the West Philippine Sea. Together, we can work towards a future where all countries in the region can thrive and prosper in harmony.
